What is the future of social media? There are endless options and routes I believe it will take. Here are some of my thoughts. Today, social media pretty much rules the world. The popularity is sky high and its use is everyday 24/7. Even with this high level of use I think it will even break this threshold and continue to increase in the future. Also, the future of social media might become much more regulated and monitored. With social media being as big and open as it is today, I see regulations in its future to protect the user. Lastly, I think the future of social media is going to be much more diverse than what it already is now. There are multiple different platforms including: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and Tiktok. I believe open competition and governmental crackdown on monopolies will allow almost double the number of popular platforms with many more features.
